The Key is a program that makes it easy to restore files backed up by The Vault. It is also a general purpose file copy utility. It can copy single files, groups of files matching a wildcard pattern, whole folders, or whole backup sets (all folders, all subfolders, etc.). It preserves the file's date and time, making it easier to identify the latest version of a file. It provides several options for what to do when the file already exists in the output folder. (By default, it only copies the file if it is newer than the one it replaces.) Finally, The Key can restore a long file that The Vault has been forced to split across two or more disks.
